Julian’s largest orchard, Volcan Valley Apple Farm, attracts big crowds every year with 7,000 trellis-grown apple trees of red and green apples ready to pick. Choose between seven different varietals of apples, including Gravenstein, Empires (a cross between a Red Delicious and a Macintosh), Jonathans, Golden Delicious, and Pippins.
19 wrz 2021 · Volcan Valley Apple Farm is Julian’s largest, and probably most well-known, u-pick orchard. Here the 8,000 trellis-grown apple trees make it easy for all ages to pick apples. At the beginning of each row, look up for a sign with the apple variety.
About. U-Pick Apple Farm. 7 Varieties maturing through the Apple Harvest Season (usually late August thru mid-October). Buy bags and fill with apples that you pick. Semi-dwarf trees are accessible to children. Leashed dog-friendly. Wheelchair access at main entrance.
This is a great option for Apple picking in Julian. There is $5 per person entrance fee, and it's $15 per bag of apples. Maybe a little more expensive than other apple picking I've done, but still reasonable. They had several varieties, including empire, Jonathon, and golden delicious.
