LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - WAVE 3 Meteorologist John Belski will retire from WAVE 3 TV on September 8, 2010; it was announced by Regional Vice-President & General Manager Steve Langford. "Retirement for a deserving friend should always be looked upon with happiness," said Langford.
1 wrz 2010 · So imagine our surprise and shock that Belski announces he is leaving WAVE TV on 9/8/2010 in a non-eventful indifferent manor during a recent 6PM broadcast! I don't know what the official story is but retirement has been floating around but from what I have taken is that he has decided to leave television.

John worked for WLKY in the 1980's and then for WAVE-TV in the 1990's until 2010. Over the years he received various awards.

It’s the association’s highest honor.
