19 wrz 2015 · You can no longer just disable the viewer, you can only set Chrome to download the PDF or not. The setting can be found here: chrome://settings/content/pdfDocuments
After checking various chrome bug reports, I can confirm that Google Chrome ignores the default functionality of Adobe PDF viewer. At the time of this answer there is no way to pass parameters (like zoom) to the Chrome PDF viewer.

24 gru 2020 · Enable Chrome's new PDF Viewer. Load chrome://flags/ in the browser's address bar. Alternatively, load chrome://flags/#pdf-viewer-update directly and skip the second step. Search for PDF Viewer. Set the PDF Viewer Update flag to Enabled.
9 mar 2021 · If you install into Chrome the kami extension then you have a choice when you open a pdf file. You are given the options which application you want to open it with ; I prefer to just choose "Drive PDF Viewer" or "Kami" but you could also choose to set it as the default pdf viewer.
