22 lis 2013 · Shadow Ball has great neutral coverage, only being resisted by Dark and blocked by Normal, but Surf and Hydro Pump are good STABs to make up for Jellicent's mediocre Special Attack. Ice Beam can hit Grass, Gliscor, and Dragons unexpectedly hard, but you can get walled easily by Water types without Toxic.

3 paź 2010 · Jellicent @ Choice Specs Ability: Water Absorb EVs: 252 Spe / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef Modest Nature - Water Spout - Shadow Ball - Surf / Scald - Ice Beam / Energy Ball. Second best user of Water Spout because Water Absorb can heal it.
Burning the foe essentially doubles defense, and you can replace scald with hydro pump for extra power as you can just burn with wisp. Why hydro over surf? Hydro is hella inaccurate. Also for a defensive poke you need an attack with more than 8 pp. An extra 20 power isn't worth it.
Jellicent is the only notable Gen 5 Water-type to join the OU crew as of yet (still waiting on you, Keldeo!), but it definitely does not disappoint. Its unique Water / Ghost typing makes it an excellent defensive Pokemon, especially when you factor in its 100 / 70 / 105 defenses, Recover, and Water Absorb.
Special wall Jellicent. The ability depends on what team you want to run him with (if you're weak to water, then go with water absorb, etc...). Hydro Pump provides more damage, but at the cost of accuracy and utility.
