22 lip 2021 · Mac OS X Yosemite (and the newer versions) are having a later version of Java Runtime (SE 8.0). However, Java Runtime is not backward compatible. So, even when the operating system have installed Java Runtime 8, it will NOT run apps that rely on Java Runtime 6. Here is how to get Java 6 on your Mac.
NetBeans 6.8 is extremely old (as is Java6). You should really use up-to-date versions of Java and the IDE (which would be Java 8 and NetBeans 8.0). I'm pretty sure that tutorial will also work with current versions

I just upgraded to OSX Yosemite. I am trying to open my Adobe Flash CS6 app, but it says. To open "Flash" you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime. A simple google search yields this page: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6604985.
