James Harvey Kennedy (born May 25, 1970) is an American actor and comedian. In film, Kennedy is best known for his role as Randy Meeks in the Scream film series (1996–2000), which saw him as a supporting character in the first and third installments and a lead ensemble member in the second installment.
Even as a child, Kennedy harbored a love for performing. At the age of eight, he staged a convincing mock heart attack during a basketball game to stop his team from losing. Upon graduating from Catholic high school, he resolved to pursue acting as his career path.
