Canvas is a web-based learning management system used across IU. Every student in your course gets automatically enrolled in that course’s Canvas site. Using this tool strategically can help you keep students engaged and focused on what’s important in your course.
Log in to Canvas at canvas.iu.edu using your IU username and passphrase. Find an event to get acquainted with Canvas. The CITL offers workshops and individual consultations throughout the year on how to use Canvas effectively and other instructional technologies for teaching and learning.

All IU students, faculty, and staff can log into Canvas using their IU credentials or an IU Guest account. You can access Canvas at IU from a web browser (on a computer, smartphone, or tablet) or via the mobile apps distributed by Instructure.
