23 kwi 2013 · Vespiquen can be great fun in the main game but plays a different role in competitive, after all. Basically a staller with dubious typing and a 4x weakness to the eternal stealth rock is something I wouldn't ordinarily touch with a 20ft pole in an online match.
I personally think Vespiquen is one of the best designed Pokémon overall. In fact it's my favorite bug type Pokémon beating out Scyther, Orbettle, Frosmoth, Volcarona and Heracross by a sizable margin with Mega Beedrill taking 2nd place. Plus it's cry is one of the most intimidating things ever.
25 lip 2010 · Attack Order is Vespiquen's best physical STAB move, which also has a high critical hit chance and a good BP of 90. Revenge is the only other physical move out there, and is good for Vespiquen because it's slow as heck.
Vespiquen’s HP is mediocre, its defensive typing is terrible especially in a metagame where Stealth Rocks are literally everywhere, and loosing Heal Order really sucked. GameFreak just slapped on good defense stats and expected it to be good.
7 gru 2011 · Vespiquen is a solid Pokemon, boasting great bulk, access to Roost, and decent offensive stats for a defensive Pokemon. She also has useful resistances to Grass-, Fighting-, and Bug-type moves, and an immunity to Ground-type moves. While all of these signs point to an amazing defensive asset, Vespiquen has horrible drawbacks.
Vespiquen has good defensive stats, access to recovery, and a move that can boost its defenses even more via Defend Order. However, this Pokemon's bulk is meaningless due to its terrible defensive typing, making it 4x weak to Stealth Rocks, and having no way of removing them without support.
