The black blacks and vastly improved clarity alone made OLED worth it for me. Then the pixel response time makes all movement smoother. But Do not buy the OLED monitor if it doesn't add value to you! I'd say my IPS has been 90% good experience, and the OLED has been 99% good experience.

To answer your question, yes it absolutely is worth it for PC gaming. I feel like getting an OLED seems like an easy win for consoles like the PS5 if you play at a desk, but I’m confused or unsure if a lot of ppl are actually using OLED monitors for the Desktop PCs? because PC graphics is better and therefore take better advantage of OLED?
You’re only going to see pro OLED comments here. It is a much better picture than any LCD screen that’s for sure. The LG 9 and X series OLEDs also have the best and most complete set of gaming features of any TV. To sum it up. Picture outweighs all cons. The picture depth is unreal. I second that.
9 gru 2023 · The primary virtues of OLED for PC gaming are the inky blacks, per pixel HDR, and nearly instant pixel response. Well worth the price of admission for avid gamers, Bring the biggest GPU you can afford to the table, and IMO get a 42" LG C3 and be done with it.
11 paź 2024 · there are 1440p high refresh rate options for OLED. Is it worth it? yes if you have money. It's the best upgrade money can buy IMO. Just the contrast ratio without the problems of VA alone is worth it. Can't stand IPS anymore.
For HDR if going OLED, Quantum Dot OLED is a superior experience as it's able to hit better peaks while having fantastic colour luminesce. You're saying "people don't know what true HDR is" while saying OLED is better without factoring important aspects like colour luminance, sustained brightness.
OLED doesn't get quite as bright as LED. It looks amazing in a dark room but if you have a lot of natural light you can't shut out not so much. Also if you're worried about burn in buy the tv/monitor from best buy and get their geek squad warranty. It specifically covers burn in. Yes. I recommend an LG C1 or C2. They pair up with the PS5 very well.
