You really don't need to be paranoid about viruses. These are trusted websites that don't allow public uploads, and consumer-level viruses haven't really been a thing for a while now. I might make a pinned post covering the subject. That said, maybe use the ISO download instead of the rip.
Is it safe? As with every file downloaded from the internet, check everything yourself, when possible with VirusTotal . Don't get too scared with few detections in VirusTotal, especially if show some imprecise names like "malicious", "generic" and the likes.
10 cze 2018 · So far, I have downloaded 2 games from it and there has been nothing suspicious going on in my pc either, so I doubt that it will give anyone a virus. In their FAQ, they also state to still always scan your games in virustotal and if the file is too big, scan it in your antivirus.
