All editions of Minecraft are their own separate products and require separate purchases. If you want to play the Windows 10 Edition, you'll have to purchase it, as there is currently no way to receive it for free.
Minecraft for Windows 10 is Bedrock, but you get Java if you buy Bedrock and vice versa anyway.
Because the account I am playing it on at the moment doesn't have java edition, it's just a new microsoft account for minecraft bedrock.
Have you tried downloading Minecraft For Windows (Bedrock) from Microsoft Store or Xbox? It worked for me using the latter.
