I've spent days trying to get my iPod to connect to my new Windows 10 Dell desktop. It would not show up under devices therefore would not show in iTunes. I did everything people suggested and nothing worked. I finally found the fix!

I wanted to share how I got my iPod 5.5 updated to a WinPodnusing a MacBook Air m2 updated to Sonoma 14.4. Flash mod went without difficulty. Mac recognized the "fresh" iPod and restored it to MacPod state.
Seller basically refurbished it, it’s got a new battery, memory instead of hard drive, and even new faceplate. My laptop is running Windows 11, home edition. I have the most up to date iTunes. My iPod does not show up under devices. Even if I put it in disc mode it does not show up.

27 gru 2009 · If the iPod is Mac formatted it needs to be connected to the PC and restored in iTunes for Windows. Restoring will erase and reformat the iPod's hard drive, reload the software with the Windows version and put it back to default settings.
