WINTER IOWA GAMES QUICK FACTS • First Winter Iowa Games: 1992 • 2024 marks the 32nd year in Dubuque (Games were not held in 1995) • Over 900 athletes competing in Dubuque, January 26-28 • Over 60 teams competing in Dubuque, January 26-28 • Winter Iowa Games will reach 100,000 participants in 2024 RESULTS AND PHOTOS AVAILABLE
Held from January 23-25, the events in Dubuque included ice hockey for youth, swimming, basketball for youth, dodge ball, indoor soccer, volleyball, cross country skiing, fitness walk, and table tennis. Snowboarding and downhill skiing were held at Sundown Mountain on January 31st and February 1st.
Winter Games. Cold weather, snow, ice, mountains…nothing can stop our athletes from speeding down the slope, running through the snowshoe course or skating around the rink. Dubuque plays host to more than 200 athletes and Unified partners and 100 volunteers for the two-day Winter Games.
Alpine Ski Racing. 8:00 – 9:00 AM – Registration in the South Lodge. 9:00 AM – Slalom/Giant Slalom Course Inspection. 10:00 AM – Open Class Slalom.
8 Weeks of games. Participation in the Winter Iowa Games (state-wide tournament held at Five Flags) Registration is open now for Winter League 2023! New Players can purchase a uniform set for $35, and can reuse these for all Dubuque AYSO Programs.
