After completion of the requirements for I.M. 3.700, Check and Final Plans, the Iowa DOT’s letting process begins on the first Tuesday of the month 2 months before the anticipated letting date.
Three types of working day contracts are: n Approximate Start Date. n Late Start Date. n Specified Start Date. In addition, a contract may include an intermediate contract period (completion date) for completing certain phases of work. In all cases, the contract documents will identify a maximum project duration, i.e., working days.
