Cattle should be inspected within 30 days of the show. All Junior cattle must be listed on a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection listing Official Individual Identification to be presented at check-in. Electronic CVI’s are acceptable. Multiple calves from the same farm or family may be listed on the same CVI.
The Iowa Junior Beef Breeds Association is a non-profit organization and affiliate of the Iowa Beef Breeds Council. Junior members are given the opportunity to learn, develop new skills, and grow through the many opportunities provided by exhibiting steers and heifers throughout the state of Iowa.
The Iowa Beef Expo is held annually in Des Moines, Iowa. It is one of the Midwest's premier breed sale offerings and most elite prospect steer and heifer shows across the country.

The spacious Fairgrounds hosts over 30 livestock shows annually. These events have included the National Junior High Finals Rodeo and the World Pork Expo as well as several smaller shows featuring everything from dogs and cats to pigeons and llamas.
