Unsolved. It's not available on ipsw.me. https://ipsw.me/iPod1,1. iTunes fails to connect to the server to provide any firmware update for it... "The iPod software updater server could not be contacted". I need to restore and update to rescue this iPod Touch 1G from being disabled.
23 gru 2013 · If you have an iPod touch 1 st-generation, iOS (or iPhone OS) 3.1.3 really is the latest version you can install on your device, and will show that there are no updates available.

6 kwi 2016 · It can only be updated directly to the newest iOS release supported by the device’s hardware. The maximum iOS version for the second generation iPod touch and the iPhone 3G is 4.2.1. The maximum iOS version for the third generation iPod touch and original iPad is 5.1.1. If you don't know what device you have, click here and look it up. (141289)
I have the "Unable to connect to iTunes Store" error on iPhone 3Gs with iOS 5.1.1 and iPod Touch 4 with 6.1.6. Tried to reset my settings and login again but nothing helped (before I found this thread).
Update iOS on iPod touch. When you update to the latest version of iOS, your data and settings remain unchanged. Before you update, set up iPod touch to back up automatically, or back up your device manually.
