13 lis 2023 · The hand itself consists of specific bones onto which various muscles are attached, and a collection of neurovascular structures responsible for drainage and innervation. However, the intrinsic muscles of the hand are only partially responsible for all its range of motion.
The RCA is a motor anastomosis, and facilitates the Ulnar nerve innervation of the thenar muscles [9, 11, 25, 69, 70]. It has a reported prevalence of 19 – 77% [2, 28, 57, 70]. Yang et al recently noted an incidence of bilateral RCAs in 31% of dissected hands, and a unilateral RCA in 38%.
31 lip 2019 · Extensibility and innervation of the skin are important for the ultimate function of the hand. The hand is innervated volarly by the median and ulnar nerves; dorsally, it receives innervation from all three nerves. On the volar surface, the thumb and the index and long fingers are innervated by the median nerve.

21 lis 2021 · Figure 2.46 shows the commonly accepted sensory innervation of the hand. The ulnar nerve supplies the medial one and a half digits of both the palmar and dorsal aspects, as well as the adjacent part of the palm and dorsum of the hand.
30 lip 2023 · Innervation to the hand is from the median, ulnar, and radial nerves. Each digit/ray has two palmar and two dorsal digital nerves. The median nerve innervates the cutaneous volar aspect of the first three and a half digits. The ulnar nerve entirely innervates the dorsal and volar ulnar half of the fourth and fifth digits.
