Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation. Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -). Remove used batteries promptly.
Batteries must be installed correctly. Not doing so could cause permanent damage to the LED. Always follow the battery manufacturer's instructions for the correct storage, handling and disposal of the batteries. A WARNING - Do not mix old and new batteries. - Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Remove the battery compartment cover (1) by sliding it back in the direction of the arrow, and set it aside. 2. Install two AA alkaline or lithium batteries, inserted as marked with their "-" (flat) ends against the springs. 3. Replace the battery compartment cover, sliding it forwards until it clicks into place.
