Remove the LED/battery compartment by placing the top upside down and tapping it so battery pack falls out (you will see three LR44 or AG13 button batteries) Note: all three batteries must be facing the same way when replaced. Test the light before reinstalling battery pack.
Battery installation (see adjacent diagram) 1. Unscrew the tail cap in a counter-clockwise direction. 2. Insert one 14500 battery with the positive pole pointing forward (toward the light head). NOTE: Ensure batteries are inserted with the positive (+) end pointing to the head. The MH1A will not operate with incorrectly inserted batteries.
Test the light before placing the battery pack back in. If it does not light up, face the batteries in the other direction. After replacing batteries, install the battery pack with the circuit side lined up with the on/off button on the body. Slide in and twist on the top.
