11 mar 2020 · The application of reinforcement learning algorithms in the deconstruction of impulsive decision-making phenotypes can help bridge the gap between biology and behavior and provide insights into the biobehavioral heterogeneity of impulsive choice.
The current work provides evidence that (1) disinhibition and impulsigenic traits are not interchangeable; (2) disinhibition specifically indexes propensity for externalizing problems; and (3) impulsigenic traits reflect a blend of externalizing and NA that appears relevant to diverse forms of psychopathology.
5 paź 2010 · Vermunt (Citation 1992) describers the concept of learning style in terms of: processing strategies, including an awareness of the aims and objectives of the learning exercise used to determine what is learnt; regulation strategies, which serve to monitor learning; mental models of learning, encompassing the learner's perceptions of the ...
This volume provides an empirical and conceptual overview of advances in our understanding of impulsivity and impulsive behaviors. Prominent scientists review the range of behavioral phenomena referred to as ‘impulsive’, as well as the defining features and psychological, neurocognitive and behavioral processes that underlie of the ...
1 mar 2018 · Term ‘impulsivity’ refers to both a stable personality trait and a range of behaviours that are susceptible to modulation. Trait impulsivity is typically assessed with using self-report questionnaires, while behavioural impulsivity is measured using laboratory tasks and paradigms.
In this chapter, we explore the biological bases of learning and development: the brain-based, neurobiological nature of perception, learning, and memory; how the brain changes in response to experience; how cognitive development occurs through progressive modifications in representations in the brain; and how the tools and methods of the ...
This paper focuses on a mixed approach that takes a specific learner attribute, cognitive style, and analyzes this behavior implicitly during the use of a learning unit. The cognitive style – impulsive and reflective – provides the most convenient conditions to implicitly analyze user behavior.
