Fresh, delicious sushi at an affordable price, which is so rare near Waikiki, tender beef tongue, udon noodle soup and sake flights were our highlights. The menu is HUGE so there is plenty for everyone and all tastes. I wish we'd had longer in the area, because we would have definitely returned to try some more.
While there may be some trendier mainland haunts, Imanas Tei nails the Japanese menu experience, with everything from high quality toro to hand rolls to sashimi and sushi. The quality of fish here is off the charts, the service is friendly, and the overall experience is five stars.

21 lis 2017 · Outstanding Izakaya off the beaten path! We were recommended this tiny izakaya by a friend and it remains my go-to for Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere is intimate yet friendly. and the service is on point. I love eating the beef tongue, seafood dynamite, fried gobo and all the sushi.
