The pecten pubis (a.k.a. pectineal line) is the sharp upper border of the superior pubic ramus. It starts behind the pubic tubercle and extends laterally behind the iliopubic eminence, merging with the arcuate line of the ilium.

The iliopubic eminence is the elevated bony region found laterally to the pectineal surface of the superior pubic ramus. The eminence is positioned anteriorly and medially to the acetabulum.
The iliopectineal line is a curvilinear line running from the sacroiliac joint along the medial border of the iliac wing and the superior border of the superior pubic bone up to the symphysis and delineates the inner margin of the pelvic ring 1-4.
The brim is outlined by the promontory of the sacrum, the sacral alae, the ilio- pectineal lines and the symphysis.
