Welcome to the Illinois State Police Online Crash Reporting Application. This program has been designed to allow motorists involved in certain types of vehicle crashes to make a report online without the on-scene assistance of a law enforcement officer.
Obtain a Crash Report by Online. If you would like to request, pay for, and receive your redacted crash report via e-mail, use E-PAY. Note: If you would like an unredacted copy of a traffic crash report, please send a subpoena or an order signed by a judge along with your request.
14 sie 2023 · This QR code provides access to the Civilian Crash Reporting System launched by Illinois State Police. The system allows the public to create a a single vehicle, property-damage-only crash report online without having to wait roadside for a trooper to respond.
To determine who handled the traffic crash report, please refer to the "Investigated By" box located in the upper left corner of the motorist report. If this box does not indicate "Illinois State Police", please contact the listed investigating agency to obtain a copy of your traffic crash report.
Illinois statute (625 ILCS 5/11-408) requires that crash reports be submitted to the Department “…within 10 days after investigation of the motor vehicle accident.”
The traffic crash database provides information on the frequency and severity of crashes within the state, demographic characteristics of individuals involved in crashes as well as weather, lighting or other related conditions associated with the crash incident.
