About a month ago I came across these at the southeast mouth of the Indiana Harbor Belt Yard in Summit, IL. #1520 is an SW1500 dating to 1966. Slug PB1 was formerly an SW7, built in 1950 and converted to a slug in 1976. 70 years of service!

  3. In 2019, IHB began repainting their lodomotive fleet in an orange-black livery resembling the very first paint scheme from the late 1940s. GP40P-2 4010 was a Southern Pacific bicentennial unit. At one time or another, nearly eighty NW2s wore IHB paint.
