IEA refers to students as, “Exceptional Learners” because this changes teaching and learning strategies from a deficit lens to uncovering passions and strengths. 18-22 years old student program focusing on life skills and CSDE services. This program will follow a structured pathway outlined to foster life skills experiences and work study experiences in a variety of areas based on an individual student’s interests and abilities.
The diversity of our staff is augmented by many passionate educators who thrive to bring their passions and interests to IEA every day. As a team, we work together on one of our most important focal points which is taking the time to build a positive and supportive climate where everyone feels valued.
IEA provides programs for students diagnosed with: Autism, Developmental Delay, Dyslexia, Mild Emotional Disturbance, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability, Visual or Hearing Impairment, Orthopedic Impairment, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Disabilities, and/or OHI-ADD/ADHD.
