The Icom 718 was my first transceiver when I got my license back in 2017. It was in reasonable shape and I had to replace the DSP unit as the one installed was not working. I found the Icom 718 to be very good, going beyond my expectations for the features offered.

1 mar 2021 · Ham radio operators, on the other hand, need to pack more for field operations. At a minimum, they need a transceiver, an antenna, a power source, not to mention, a mic, key, and/or computing device for digital modes.

11 gru 2014 · I'm actually very disappointed with Icom and the R9500 because I think it is a fantastic platform and it appears that they just don't feel like rolling out any new functionality to the unit. Last firmware update was many many years ago.
