I have just had 120-130 trolls as a task. I did not set a timer, but banking travelling to the ice trolls on jatiszo and killing them took about 15 minutes in total with a cannon. It is probably one of the fastest slayer xp in the game, together with dagannoths.

I don't have the recommended gear for cannoning Ice Trolls to complete this slayer task. Every video I'm seeing says you need Barrows top/legs at the very minimum. Is this really necessary?
Pick hard and go to town you get like double the slayer xp, Slayer Helm not that worth it because you have to kill others monsters. Pick ice troll king, aarg and possibly dad but he can lower your xp rates.
Ice Trolls have lower defence against Stab/Crush, therefore it is recommended to use a weapon with this attack style. Protect from melee is recommended because ice trolls can hit fairly high. You can pray piety to speed up the kills.
Ice trolls (also styled as Ice Trolls) are level 120-124 monsters encountered during Desert Treasure I when the player is trying to get the Ice diamond. Five trolls have to be killed to gain access to the ice cave on the eastern side.
