To the Iban, ADAT involves the basic values of life, including their system of agriculture, the code to which their society is ordered, as well as the 'correct' manner of behavior. Additional data in this work pertain to myths, beliefs in spirits, world view, seasonal rice cycles, and major agricultural rituals.
