14 mar 2019 · Slow download speed but fast internet. Hi, I did a speed test and I get 45Mbps, but when downloading a game, I only get 3 Mbps... the estimated time for a 42 GB game is 1 day and 10 hours...
Step 1:- Open up task manager and go under details. Step 2:- Locate the most used process called "steam.exe" under the details tab. Step 3:- Right click the process and set priority to the lowest possible one. Step 4:- Enjoy your steam downloads now being uncapped and not being limited. P.S.
23 cze 2018 · 1) Download speed is capped in steam settings, in router or somewhere else. 2) Steam servers are overloaded, try changing region. 3) Because of slow HDD. Steam unpacks and installs game files as it downloads them.
9 lis 2018 · Steam downloads have higher i/o ops due to otf decompression, validating and patching files. depending on what files this can be hard taxing on any hdd. from personal experience with normal hdds, stuff rarely goes beyond 60-80MByte/s, for faster downloads you need an ssd or a raid.
