4 sty 2022 · In about a dozen places in the Bible, the Lord God is referred to as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (e.g., Genesis 50:24; Exodus 3:15; Acts 7:32). This name of God emphasizes the covenant that God made with Israel and the Israelites’ special place as God’s Chosen People.
Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. New Living Translation

Mt 22:32 I am the God of Abraham. See Ex 3:6. God does not say, "I was", but "I 'am' the God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob". The present tense shows that he is still the God of the departed patriarchs, and that they are still in existence. God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
