This application is intended to show the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife regulations across Ohio for all hunting and trapping regulations. The regulation maps seen here can also be seen in the Ohio Hunting and Trapping Regulations 2019-2020 digest.
1 paź 2024 · There are new all-in-one voice-searchable high-resolution PDFs that are downloadable as of 10-1-24. All of the maps can be loaded onto a phone or a computer, into a single folder, and be viewed just like photos are normally viewed.
Today, due to the rise of coyotes and bobcats, it's a rare sight to see a groundhog burrow anywhere but under a man-made structure. Barns, sheds and even houses are common locations to find groundhogs. One common exception to this rule is brush piles, which are almost always man-made, too.
There is an open hunting season on groundhogs, meaning they may be hunted any time of the year. Refer to the Hunting and Trapping Regulations for additional information. Groundhogs, also known as woodchucks, usually are viewed as a nuisance animal for homeowners and farmers.
