Tuthilltown Spirits, home of the well-known Hudson Whiskey line, is proud to have been the early bird in the post-prohibition New York distilling scene.
Today, Tuthilltown Spirits distills vodkas from apples grown at orchards less than 5 miles away and whiskeys using grain harvested by farmers less than 10 miles away. The farm distillery also produces rum, eau de vie, brandy, absinthe, and infusions.
Tuthilltown Spirits Distillery is NY’s first distillery since prohibition. At our historic grist mill Visitors Center and Tasting Room (dating back to the 1700s) guests can take a guided tour and sample our menu of distilled spirits crafted from NY grain, including NY’s first Bourbon.

29 maj 2013 · For 220 years, the Gristmill used waterpower to render local grains to flour. Now, Tuthilltown is a true farm distillery, using local grain and ingredients to power a spirits business that has gone nationwide. Gable showed me around the various buildings on the property.
