6 mar 2011 · If you are happy with the stock ROM, and have no intentions to root, install Custom ROM's or Root only apps, go ahead and update to 2.2 OTA. However, for best performance after update, remember to factory reset and format the SD card too. If you intend to root (now, or in the future), stay away from the OTA.

Another addition in Froyo is batch and automatic update of applications. You don't have to update apps one by one. Also there will be WiFi hotspot functionality.
