When audio plays it is always accompanied by the static. My guess is the internal amp, possibly a bad capacitor. The soundbar has 2 HDMI, TV Arc HDMI, 3.5mm, and an optical input. Same issue on all Inputs. This is a 2013/2014 soundbar that worked great until recently and I would like to revive it.
1 sie 2023 · The Sony Ht-S40R is a 5.1 soundbar home theatre system. It comes with a wireless amplifier that helps sever the cord between the surround speakers and the main unit.
I have the above mentioned sound bar and am having issues with static. When I turn the system on the static is loud and distracting. Over time it fades. The sound bar is fed by a cable box and outputs to a sharp aquos tv. I've swapped out hdmi cables and did some basic troubleshooting.
