Opening hours Change of Friday Opening Hours at Bloodbank@HSA From 6 September 2024, Bloodbank@HSA will operate from 9am to 5pm for whole blood donation and from 9am to 4.30pm for apheresis donation on Fridays.
Every hour of the day, 15 units of blood are used in Singapore. We need to collect about 400 units of blood daily to meet the blood needs of patients in Singapore. Make an appointment to donate blood today.

You can donate at our Bloodbank@HSA, @Dhoby Ghaut, @Westgate Tower, @Woodlands or @OnePunggol. However, apheresis donation is only available at Bloodbank@HSA. You can also choose to donate at any of our community blood-drives, which are held regularly in different locations across Singapore.

We need about 120,000 units of blood to meet the transfusion needs of patients every year, equivalent to about 400 units of blood a day. With an ageing population, more advanced life-saving medical procedures, and new hospitals being established, more blood will be needed every year.
Effective October 2, 2023, donors who were previously not allowed to donate blood due to stay in the United Kingdom, France, Republic of Ireland and other countries in Europe during the affected period can now donate plateletpheresis, plasmapheresis or double red cell unit by apheresis method.
