11 sty 2024 · We have several HP EliteBook 840 G7s that have started to refuse to connect to external monitors via the USB-C ports - This functionality was working before December 2023 but has suddenly stopped working (The HDMI port still works).
19 lut 2023 · I tried to use usb-c port to connect DELL S2723HC monitor which has power delivery and some more ports. When I plug it in my laptop is being charged and mouse connected to monitor also works, but picture is not shown. On monitor I can see 'Scanning for signal' message and after that 'No USB-C signal from your device'
19 wrz 2019 · I have successfully been using these ports, via 2-off USB C to HDMI Type C Thunderbolt cables, to connect 2 external monitors. All was fine and functioned without issue. These now do not work and the displays are not recognised.
20 lis 2024 · Originally I was able to connect my monitor via a HDMI to USB-C cable, but after changing monitors it seems something broke on my laptop and I can't use the port to display anything, not via the USB-C to HDMI cable, or the USB-C to Display cable.

28 gru 2020 · You can find the solution in this post I wrote today to be helpful to the HP community: External monitor not working with thunderbolt connector. Basically you need to change from 0 to 1 an entry of the register file.
16 kwi 2023 · The additional monitor I'm connecting via the USB-C port remains black in the meantime. I tried with 2 other laptops if the same thing happened, but it didn't. On the other 2 computers, connecting the monitor with the adapter to the USB-C port, it worked correctly.
