28 gru 2016 · turns out the monitor and vga cable are not at fault, since both work using another PC. problem was, my new PC has a video card with an HDMI output. The vga output is a 'dead' link since the graphics are handled by the card, an NVidia GEForce 950x, which doesn't have a vga output.
