Recommended action for customers. Reset the printer: Turn the printer off using the power switch, and then wait at least 30 seconds. Turn the printer on and wait for it to initialize. If you are using a surge protector: Turn the printer off. Remove the surge protector.
22 lut 2024 · This is a laser scanner error, the one in the print engine, not the scanner on top. Nearly always a failed motor, unless you recently disassembled the printer and knocked a cable loose. That means you would need to replace the scanner.
22 lis 2017 · Perform the laser/scanner component tests in the Troubleshooting menu. If the component tests showed a startup failure, reconnect the connectors of the scanner motor (J56 and J58) and the DC controller PCA (J106). If the error persists, replace the laser/scanner.

3 lis 2017 · Our HP LaserJet Pro MFP M521dn has a developed a 52 Scanner Error. After all troubleshooting steps didn’t resolve it, I ordered a Laser Scanner Assembly (part RM1-6322) and it will be here Tuesday. The department manager has grown impatient and is pressuring me to fix now.
