13 mar 2012 · Can anyone give me an idea on the quality of cut from a Howse Rotary Cutter? I'd like to use a rotary cutter, because it would be more versitle than a finish mower, but the areas I'm cutting need to look nice. Any help would be great. Thanks

7 mar 2007 · The different rotary cutters have gearboxes rated for different horsepower. The ratings are not absolute, but of course if you buy a rotary cutter with a gearbox rated for 40 hp and then tear it up, using it on a 100 hp tractor, you'll probably have a problem with the warranty.
19 kwi 2015 · Howse makes 4 different lines of brush cutters in southern Mississippi. They use 10 and 12 gauge deck thickness with or without gussets. The gear boxes are rated from 45 to 100 hp.
28 sie 2006 · I'm well pleased with my Howse equipment, so far. Remember, they offer an economy AND a heavy duty line in most cases. Their rough-cut (bush hog) and finish mowers have an excellent reputation.
A basic Howse Model 500 should cost $480 to $520 (Arkansas price). Slip clutch and chains are options. The Squeeler will be a lot more. Both the Howse and the Squeeler are utility rigs. King Kutter makes a comperable rotary cutter that falls somewhere between the Howse and the Squeeler in price.

5' Economy Cutter. This 5 ft cutter has a 12 gauge powdered coated deck. It comes standard with a round blade carrier, a laminated rubber tire, a 55 horsepower gearbox that is 1.47:1 ratio, and a #4 series driveshaft. This cutter is also quick hitch compatible. Howse Implement recommends chain guards on all rotary cutter.
