On a Mac keyboard, the command key is laid out to be struck with the thumb (you may notice the spacebar is subtly shorter on a Mac keyboard than it is on a PC keyboard for exactly this reason). All of the standard Mac shortcuts on the left hand (z, x, c, v, s, q, w) should be struck with the thumb on command in this way.

I don't think there's a shortcut to use the search box, but the CLI has a command to search. Press . and then type s or sr depending on you want to search the current subreddit or not. Follow that by a space and your query, and press enter to execute. Alt / on a Mac use the "option" key as the Alt key.

It is stated in 'Terminal User Guide' that "To look up Unix commands, you can use the command man to display manual pages, called man pages. To display a man page with the details about the man command, type the command man man, then press Return. To close the man page and clear the window, press q."
19 maj 2024 · Press Alt Space or your custom shortcut keys to open Spotlight like search. It will open a search box at the center of the screen in which you can type your keywords to find the results. For example, type edge to see the relevant search results including Microsoft Edge app.
