5 lip 2024 · To use crimp beads, thread a piece of jewelry wire through a crimp bead and a clasp, then feed the wire back through the crimp bead to form a loop. Move the crimp bead close to the end of the clasp. Next, use crimping pliers to flatten the bead in the middle to form a "c" shape and round out the shape.
Using Crimp Tubes: To secure them to the jewelry wire, crimp the tube on the wire with a crimping tool. The tool has two stations. The first station puts a crimp in the crimp tube and the second station folds the crimped tube in half. The crimped and folded tube grips the jewelry wire.
The real key to crimping is practice. Take your time and get a feel for the crimping tool in your hand. To crimp you will slide the crimping tube onto your beading wire, place one part of your closure onto the wire, then thread the wire back through the crimping tube.
