The database diff tool is part of the MySQL Utilities that you can access through MySQL Workbench in Plugins -> Start Shell for MySQL Utilities. You can find the relevant documentation here.
A model can contain multiple schemas. Note that when you create a new model, it contains the mydb schema by default. You can change the name of this default schema as needed or you can delete it. Click the + button on the right side of the Physical Schemas toolbar to add a new schema.
