Run modpack (brings up vanilla's Launcher), close CurseForge's window which closes both CurseForge and Overwolf completely, hit launch (and only then actually start loading Minecraft). Option B: Use CurseForge to download modpacks (that setting is still useful), but have another launcher do the day-to-day launching.
