Try turning on the Y axis button instead of the free rotate. This will mean that when you click and drag your mouse horizontally the model rotates around the Y axis. You may find this more satisfactory than the XYZ free rotation.
11 paź 2021 · hope this helps. There’s a “Mirror” button in the Tool --> Modifiers --> Deformation menu. Select the axis and press the button to mirror the object. Not to be confused with “Flip” which flips the normals of the object’s polygons, turning it “inside out”.

25 lut 2021 · To cut off geometry use CTRL SHIFT and select a trim brush like Trim Rect. This will work with symmetry from left to right only when the object is mirrored. Subtools. ALT click to select a subtool. Append to add another object as a subtool. select part of your object (see below), then hit CTRL W to assign a Polygroup.
