5 sty 2017 · I used my Windows Defender to remove HACKTool:Win32/AutoKMS which it quarantines, but only for a few seconds and then it returns. My PC runs slower as a result. How can I get rid of this thing?
I can't delete it with just Windows Defender. It shouldn't cause an issue. It means that you have a copy of Windows that's been cracked with autokms (Google it). There's a good chance that if you do remove it you won't be able to boot your pc.
Look at the path of the detection... If you have any kind of a cracked/pirated software on your computer (a downloaded cracked Office.iso for example.) - it doesn't even have to be installed -: delete it. See also: a) https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-hacktool-win32-autokms/.
