22 maj 2023 · How to delete apps from Launchpad when there's no x icon: I just figured out that when you have an uninstalled/deleted application but the icon is still in the Launchpad and it doesn't give you an 'X' when you hold the [option] key, there are two ways to delete them:

Click and hold on an icon until you see all icons jiggle. Click the "x" button in the upper-left of the Mac App Store app icon you want to delete.
31 sty 2022 · The "X" button is just a shortcut to uninstall apps downloaded from the Mac App Store. For any other apps, you have to uninstall them according to their uninstallation instructions. Sometimes you can just drag the app from the Applications folder in the Finder to the trash.

18 kwi 2015 · Drag the app to the Trash. Select the app and choose File > Move to Trash from the menu bar. Select the app and press Command-Delete on your keyboard. If you're asked for a user name and password, enter the name and password of an administrator account on your Mac.
2 lis 2021 · Press the Option (⌥) key. When you will see the “X” next to unneeded icon, click on it. Confirm the deletion to remove an icon from Launchpad.
23 wrz 2019 · Click on the Application below and delete the application. Now navigate to the Launchpad, right-click the icon to remove it nor can I drag and drop it into the trash. Alternatively, Press and hold the Option key, or click and hold any app until the apps jiggle.
