17 sty 2012 · To use your balance just follow your normal payment flow such as paying normally for your eBay item and it will automatically take payment from your PayPal balance. If you do not have enough funds in your balance to cover the transaction, PayPal will use the funds from your balance and request the rest from your registered card or bank account.
I have my PayPal connected to eBay as the preferred method to pay, and I have a PayPal balance. In PayPal I have it set to use the balance first, then a backup method. So far, eBay has only bypassed the balance and just went straight to the backup method even with more than enough balance available (i.e. $25 bid/best offer, balance $100+).

Clicked on go to checkout (that worked fine) Clicked on ''how to pay'' - and chose Paypal as my payment option. My login box appeared. I typed in my email then my password....
