The powerful OpenIV texture editor now supports GTA V.ytd texture files. You can edit any .ytd files using all the features that the program has.
Go to the official website (mirror if the official server is down). Press on Download now. Install OpenIVSetup.exe. If the official website is down, an offline installer is available here. Open OpenIV. In the Grand Theft Auto IV section, click on Windows. If requested, set the directory with the game files.
People in this steam thread says that openIV versions above 2.8 have this issue and downgrading fixed it. It needs to be the offline installer because the regular one will update openIV to 4.0 before installing.
Download the OpenIV offline installer, I used the one from here. Click the + on the top bar of Lutris, select "Add locally installed game". There choose following things: Game Info tab: Name = OpenIV (or whatever) Runner = Wine Game Options tab: Executable = path to the OpenIV setup exe
