11 paź 2018 · You need 5 pins, power/ground/data+/data-/"ID". So for this "ID" pinout is the 5th pin which was not color-coded on the PS3 controller pinout image. Solder CC1 to that "ID" pinout... now you got an actual USB-C PS3 controller which works as intended. It will charge if you connect to a PS3, computer, or a power brick using USB-C to USB-A cable.
The original PS3’s have 90NM RSX which are more power hungry, less reliable and they run hotter, but you can now install a 65nm and 40nm RSX gpu from later model PS3’s into an original backwards compatible PS3.
