ping uses icmp traffic, the valorant game client uses udp ports and tcp ports for all the riot client services. intel puma 5/6/7 chips have no issues with icmp traffic, but they have awful port traffic with latency spikes almost every 2 seconds on the dot as well as 20-100% packet loss at upload rates as low as 0.2mbps
FIX:Too many devices on your Wi-Fi channel. At least that’s what fixed it for me. Works if you’re on Ethernet or wireless. An alternative is to upgrade your ISPs plan or disable a few devices through your routers settings.
